As a data-driven innovation hub, MediaFutures offered grant funding and support to startups and artists through three Open Calls. Throughout its operation, the project aided 51 startups or SMEs and 43 artists, with the final cohort graduating in June 2023. This initiative was an integral part of the S+T+ARTS ecosystem.
MediaFutures produced insightful Policy Briefs aimed at tackling some of the most pressing issues in today's media landscape. The first brief provides an in-depth understanding of disinformation, offering policy recommendations to minimize its destructive impact. The second brief offers a comprehensive overview of the challenges observed in media innovation within entrepreneurship and arts. The third brief addresses the legal and ethical challenges faced by startups and artists, with the goal of providing guidance on data and innovation-related legal queries.
